The fan whisk is an early form of the whisk broom that we have today. The design dates to the late 1600's. The Turkey Wing Whisk is constructed the same way as the Fan, but is curved 170°-180°. There is no functional purpose for the extreme curl that is in our Turkey Wing, we just like the way it looks. Though decorative in appearance because of the design, they are all fully functional and made to be used.
